In Buenos Aires, Argentina, a couple of lovers of dark and psychedelic rock and punk decided to form a band that, in just a few years, has become one of the most active rock groups in the country. They emigrated from their native Argentina to settle in Bilbao, and from that base of operations they have developed a fruitful, intense, and active career like few others. In this way, they have traveled three continents, with five tours in the United Kingdom, France, Germany (where their brilliant participation in the Popkomm 08 festival made them known and led us to invite them to be part of the BCore stable), Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, South America, and a tour of the United States (including a celebrated performance at the SXSW festival in Texas).
After their recent debut album "Songs & Circuits" (Liliput, 07), this "Rising Mountains" album only confirms what that album hinted at: the feeling of being in the presence of a truly great group, one that puts emphasis on attitude, a way of life, a passion for their music beyond trends, and a devotion to doing their work well with the urgency of those who want to live fast and explore all corners before it's too late. Their musical influences - The Velvet Underground, The Stooges, early David Bowie, Television - turn their acclaimed live performances into true explosions of sweat and adrenaline. To capture that energy on record, they have done it their own way with excellent results: recording in their own city with the comfort that represents and mixed in New York, at the NYHed studios (where, for example, The Jon Spencer Blues Explosion has worked), by Ivan Julian, who has been the guitarist for Richard Hell & The Voidoids and producer of The Fleshtones, Heavy Trash, and James Chance & The Contortions.
Their live set is not limited to music but includes visuals and a technological display that makes them a unique case of futuristic garage-rock, with the influence of the underground South American rock that is so little known in Spain but makes Capsula a truly exceptional group. This "Rising Mountains" album marks a second starting point for a group that is not going to give any quarter. (BCore Disc)
En Buenos aires, Argentina, una pareja de amantes del rock and roll oscuro y psicodélico y del punk decidió montar una banda que, en pocos años, se ha convertido en uno de los grupos estatales de rock más activos del momento. Emigraron de su Argentina natal para afincarse en Bilbao, y desde ese centro de operaciones han sabido desarrollar una carrera fructífera, intensa y activa como pocas. De ese modo llevan recorridos tres continentes, con cinco giras en el Reino Unido, Francia, Alemania (en qué su brillante participación en el festival Popkomm 08 nos los dio a conocer y nos llevó a invitarles a formar parte de la escudería BCore ), Irlanda, Países Bajos, Bélgica, Portugal, Sudamérica y un tour por Estados Unidos (incluyendo una célebre actuación en el festival SXSW de Texas).
