HISTORIA HISTORY

"Here is garage-glam heaven on a platter: Tony Visconti, who produced hot glitter for David Bowie and T. Rex 40-plus years ago, doing it again with the fine trio Capsula, from Bilbao, Spain. Visconti sets Capsula's dynamic compression of the Who, the Cramps and Sonic Youth in a high tide of psychedelia (long echo, watery tremolo, massed spires of treble guitar) that makes "Riverside of Love" and "Trails of Senselessness" sound like a fresh afterburn of the '67 Pretty Things and an acid-charged X. "You gotta be free," guitarist Martin Guevara and bassist Coni Duchess, Capsula's founding couple, sing in "Blind." They're already flying." September 26, 2013. David Fricke - Rolling Stone.

Capsula are Rock 'n' Roll. The forever touring couple formed by Martin Guevara -wild front man & guitarist- and his rock 'n' roll soul-mate Coni Lisica on bass, create huge waves of 70's rotten glam riffs (think of Bowie and T-Rex) with blowing drops of South American psychedelia - where they are originally from - to transport you to their constellation of free and savage sounds.

Their raw and high energy on stage will definitely catch you. They are masters of mixing different sounds from different decades to make the dreams of future manifest: Post punk, Kraut, Garage, Sweet pop, Heavy riffs, everything is connected through the diamond moving rock that Capsula is. If you don't believe it, check their history: Born in Argentina, they relocated in Europe to tour the world. They took their name from David Bowie's songs "Space Oddity" and "The Jean Genie", without knowing that years later they were going to be working with T-Rex creative brain behind the sound desk and Bowie Berlin-era producer Tony Visconti.

David Fricke has expressed his enlightenment: "Here is garage-glam heaven on a platter: Tony Visconti, who produced hot glitter for David Bowie and T. Rex 40-plus years ago, doing it again with the fine trio Capsula, from Bilbao, Spain. Visconti sets Capsula's dynamic compression of the Who, the Cramps and Sonic Youth in a high tide of psychedelia (long echo, watery tremolo, massed spires of treble guitar) that makes "Riverside of Love" and "Trails of Senselessness" sound like a fresh after burn of the '67 Pretty Things and an acid-charged X. "You gotta be free," guitarist Martin Guevara and bassist Coni Duchess, Capsula's founding couple, sing in "Blind." They're already flying"

They are constantly on tour spreading their songs. You can see them live in festivals across Europe (Primavera Sound, Bilbao BBK Live, Jazzaldia, Nox Orae and more), South America, or USA (Austin Psych Fest, 35 Denton, Savannah Stopover, Filter Culture Collide, SXSW, CMJ and more) where they toured twice from coast to coast with influential psychedelic rock band "Os Mutantes" as well as headlining their own 22 shows in America last March 2015.

Capsula are now presenting their 11th album “Santa Rosa” (Vicious Circle, 2016) an electric storm of rock 'n' roll sounds, new wave and psychedelia with a glimpse of South-American vibes.

The songs "Seven Crimes" and "Holding a Knife" are included in the soundtrack of the the American Netflix original horror web television series "Hemlock Grove" (S3, Ep3 2015).
